Fifth-year defensive tackle Fletcher Cox agreed to a lucrative six-year contract extension earlier this week, a deal that was made official on Thursday when pen was put to paper. In his first four seasons, Cox has shown consistent improvement every year, but now that his new deal is done, the Mississippi State product is ready to take that next step into the elite category of Philadelphia Eagles franchise players.
“I’ve got a ways to grow. I don’t think I’ve hit that ceiling yet,” Cox said during his press conference inside the NovaCare Complex. “I think it’s going to start on the practice field.
