Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin received a 5-minute major penalty and game misconduct for slashing Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin in the head during the second period of Thursday's game.
Dahlin cross-checked Malkin next to the Sabres' net, and Malkin responded by swinging his stick into Dahlin's face.
