NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Georgia State closed out its weekend series with a 4-2 victory over Belmont on Sunday afternoon at E.S. Rose Park.
The Panthers improve to 9-4 on the season, while Belmont falls to 4-8.
Georgia State jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Jae Williams worked a leadoff walk and later scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Wills Maginnis to make it 1-0.
The Panthers added two more runs in the second. John Beverley singled and stole second before Austin Sellers brought him home with a sacrifice bunt.
